Senate AI AGENT Act proposed as early test case for enterprise AI governance frameworks

According to CIO, Senator Mark Warner released a discussion draft of the Artificial Intelligence Access, Gatekeeper Exchange, and Nondiscriminatory Transfer Act (AI AGENT Act) to govern consumer AI agents. The proposal would require providers of custodial user agents to register with the Federal Trade Commission and establish user-linked accountability.
