Mistral releases OCR 4.1 and announces regional inference platform with European capacity expansion

Mistral released OCR 4.1 with native paragraph-level bounding box extraction, structural block labels, and block-level confidence scores, priced at $4 per 1,000 pages. According to Mistral's announcement, the company introduced Regional Endpoints (now generally available) allowing customers to choose inference location in Europe or the US to align with data-residency and latency requirements, and announced plans to build up to 1 GW of capacity by 2030 to provide sovereign AI infrastructure.
