IBM partners with OpenAI to train tens of thousands of consultants on enterprise AI

IBM announced a partnership with OpenAI to train and certify tens of thousands of consulting staff on OpenAI technology. The move positions IBM as a major enterprise deployment partner for OpenAI models.

Update (2026-08-16): IBM announced it will embed OpenAI frontier models and products (Codex and ChatGPT) into its IBM Consulting Advantage platform and create industry-specific offerings for financial services, government, telecommunications, and retail. The partnership includes expanding joint cybersecurity initiatives and deploying forward-deployed engineers through the OpenAI Partner Network.
