According to TechCrunch, Google announced personalized AI avatars in Google Vids allowing users to create digital avatars from selfies and voice recordings, powered by Gemini Omni. The company also expanded AI Mode to execute tasks across linked third-party apps including Instacart, Canva, and YouTube, moving beyond answering questions to completing actions like adding groceries to shopping carts or creating design templates.
