Five Eyes cybersecurity agencies warn frontier AI models will exceed current defensive capabilities

According to CSO Online and The Register, national cybersecurity agencies from Five Eyes countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) issued guidance stating that frontier AI models are anticipated to exceed current industry defensive capabilities. The agencies called for CSOs to fundamentally rewrite cyber risk strategy to address the threat that AI-driven security incidents could escalate into major operational and financial crises.
