DoorDash reports only several hundred orders from third-party AI agents

According to TechCrunch and Ars Technica, DoorDash CEO Tony Xu disclosed during third-quarter earnings that third-party AI agents including Muse, Instinct, and Fo have generated only several hundred orders total since integration availability, compared to DoorDash's 3 million daily deliveries and 1 billion orders in Q3 2026 alone. Xu characterized agent-based food ordering as a "very low use case" and noted users predominantly place orders directly through DoorDash's app rather than via autonomous agents.
