Darktrace documents cloud intrusion exposing concentration of identity risk in AI gateway architectures

According to CSO Online, Darktrace researchers documented a cloud intrusion where attackers compromised an AWS EC2 instance acting as an AI gateway, exposing a critical architectural vulnerability. The compromise revealed that AI gateways concentrate access to cloud identity and permission controls in a single point, allowing attackers who breach the gateway to gain broad access to downstream AI services and data.
