Cursor releases intelligent model router for automated frontier-to-lightweight model selection

According to Cursor's blog announcement, the company released Router, a feature that automatically selects between frontier models (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex) and lightweight models based on task complexity, replacing the previous manual Auto cost optimization option. The router adjusts model selection during task execution without user intervention.
