According to Tom's Hardware and Game Developer, Anthropic deployed a policy that prevents Claude from assisting with video game recreation, cloning, and reverse-engineering projects. The policy blocks both malicious and legitimate generic reverse-engineering tasks, drawing user reports that non-malicious projects are also affected.
