Hark, OpenAI Atlas, and Cloudflare Kitesurf compete on browser automation for enterprise task completion

According to TechCrunch, startup Hark launched Handoff, a browser-use agent that navigates websites without official APIs including Target, Walmart, and OpenTable, using post-trained models with plans for pre-training later in 2026. Cloudflare released Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser optimized for AI agents that uses less computing power than Chromium, alongside Cloudflare OS designed to connect AI agents with enterprise data and internal systems. OpenAI offers Atlas for autonomous web interactions as enterprises scale browser-based automation for booking, shopping, research, and filing tasks.
