Anthropic launches Claude Tag as persistent Slack teammate with organizational learning

According to TechCrunch and The Register, Anthropic released Claude Tag, an always-on agentic AI feature in Slack that learns company context from channel messages and performs tasks across channels with administrative permission. The service, available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, replaces the existing Claude Slack connector (retiring August 3) and builds persistent memory of organizational work. Anthropic said 65 percent of its product team's code is written by Tag, which also handles support tickets and bug diagnosis.
