Attacker compromised 105+ retail sites using AI tools at $25 per target

According to CSO Online and The Register, a single attacker compromised 27 of 105 online retailers over five days using open-source AI harnessing frameworks at an average cost of $25 per target. The low barrier to entry demonstrates how readily available open-source AI tools enable attacks against e-commerce infrastructure, with The Register reporting the attacker also targeted a Fortune 500 hospitality company and major US airline.
